Description:

Join us for a half day PDC where we will bridge the understanding gap between how worker and public health risks are determined. Topics may include:

  • Fundamentals of worker and public health risk assessments
  • Conducting a chemical toxicity and exposure assessment
  • Assumptions used to fill data gaps when deriving risk estimates
  • How to design exposure studies for use in health risk assessment
  • Case studies
    • Protecting workers (including responders) and communities from chemical exposures during an emergency
    • Characterizing exposures and health risks to effectively communicate risks and address community concerns related oil and gas operations
